Memorial Gifts
Memorial gifts are a meaningful way to remember a loved one who has died and give thanks to God for their life. Throughout many generations, these gifts have helped strengthen the ministry of the congregation and served as lasting praise to God for the saints who have lived in our midst.
Memorial gifts are usually made in the form of a financial gift. These gifts may be directed to a ministry of the congregation or designated for a specific purpose in the church. Some choose to make an unrestricted gift so it can be used where there is the greatest need. It is also possible to give a noncash gift in the form of goods or services. Gifts of this nature are just as valuable to the congregation.
Mabel First Lutheran Church’s memorial committee ensures memorial gifts are properly received and credited in accordance with the donor’s intent. Upon request, a person from the committee is available to guide individuals and families through the process of making a memorial gift. May God bless you as you contribute to the needs of the saints today and extend the ministry of Christ’s church.
